The research carried out by the SIMD group is aligned with the Castilla-La Mancha Intelligent Specialization Strategy 2014-2020 (RIS3), in which information technologies (ICT) are defined as a transversal factor with application in different priority sectors. In particular, we find ourselves in the challenge 6 defined in RIS3 -- "... transfer the benefits of ICT to citizens, companies and the administration, and promote the use of ICT in the intelligent specialization sectors of the RIS3 of Castilla-La Mancha".
